Don Bell and M.A. Dual

Don Bell Quicksilver Classic

On April 5th Westmoor traveled to Leland High School in San Jose to compete at the Don Bell Quicksilver Classic.  It was a great meet with many top efforts and PRs.

The Varsity Boys won medals in 5 events, including a first place in the Pole Vault by Dominic Chavarria with a vault of 14′ 1″.  Mharc Severino won  3 medals including a 3rd in the 300 hurdles, 6th in the Pole Vault, and 6th in the 4×400 relay.  Anwar Alghaithy broke 10 minutes in the 2 mile earning a 6th place medal.  The 4×400 team (Mharc Severino, Alvin Tiletile, Victor Bautista, and Dominic Chavarria) earned 6th place team medals.  Nice job Varsity Boys!

The Frosh/Soph Boys finished with an impressive 4th place overall at the invite out of 32 teams.

Frosh/Soph Medal Winners:

2nd Place: 

  • Norman Chao – 65m Hurdles
  • Glen Collado – Triple Jump
  • Ben Tam – Pole Vault

3rd Place:

  • 4×100 Relay (Jason Mattos, Cole Oliver, Jeff Mattos, Thomas Chung)

4th Place:

  • Steven Ng – 300 Hurdles
  • Thomas Chung – Pole Vault
  • 4×400 Relay (Austin Chao, Cole Oliver, Thomas Chung, Glen Collado)

5th Place:

  • Ralph Leano – 65 Hurdles

6th Place

  • Aaron Narag – Triple Jump

Varsity Lady Rams finished 5th overall at Don Bell.  Mimi Chang won the 100 m hurdles, earning a first place medal.  2nd place medals went to Tiara Cobbins in the Shot Put and Erin Huntzinger in the Pole Vault.  Erin also medaled in the High Jump, winning 3rd place.  Alvina Tat won 4th place in the Pole Vault.

The Young Lady Rams medaled in 3 events including both relays and the 2 mile.   Keanna Perez, Terry David, and Iliyah Demafeliz earned 2 medals a piece for being on both relays.

Dual Meet #4 – Menlo Atherton @ Westmoor

This was an excellent and competitive meet where both teams achieved some pretty fantastic marks.  M.A. won all 4 divisions but Westmoor athletes gave 100% effort, resulting in countless P.R.s and very proud coaches!
